Thanks community and City for supporting the Library
The monetary support the City gave the Library in October 2014 enabled the Library to meet the State Library accreditation standards, and the Rhome Public Library is now an accredited library beginning September 1, 2015. We thank the four people who responded to our request for community support letters in May when we appealed the State Library Board and thus received the accreditation status (support letters: Heil Trailers International, Tamme Byers, Jo Ann Wilson, and Deborah BeCraft). Accreditation status allows us to apply for grants that will help us achieve the reality of a new building for the Rhome Public Library. With continued support from the City of Rhome and our community, our Library will become the best in the County.
In addition to this good news, we received a Tocker Foundation grant to automate the Library creating an online catalog.
Check out the new catalog:
All patrons must come to the Library to update their information and receive a library card. The card number will be used to access the online catalog system and to check out books.
Become a member of the Library and enjoy reading books along with the special services and events offered by the Library. Drop by the Library and sign up.
You will need your driver’s license and a utility bill. Thanks.
Stay tuned for future events and book sales.
